The Summer Program for International Research and Internship-Training (SPIRIT)
The Summer Program in International Research and Internship Training (SPIRIT) is the flagship program offered under the International Office. It applies many of the qualities introduced and developed throughout the various ASPIRE programs.
Participating students have the opportunity to embark on 10-12-week summer research opportunities at renowned institutions around the world. These include Yale University, Harvard University, Boston University, MD Anderson Cancer Center, and the Mayo Clinic, among others.
The SPIRIT program’s mission is central to the IO’s guiding mission of cultivating prolific physician-scientists capable of contributign meaninfully to the scientific community. It gives participating students first-hand experience in the field of research.
