Established in 2009 as the Undergraduate Research Committee under Alfaisal University, the International Office (IO CoM) is now a powerful force promoting physician-scholars at the College of Medicine. It is a diverse, internationally-oriented body composed of dedicated medical students, interns, and faculty members.

Responsible for student growth, experience, and excellence in the world of research and international scholarship, the IO offers a guiding hand for many Alfaisal medical students into the world of research.

Composed of four departments and over 100 members, we promote the physician-scholars and empower them across the medical continuum. IO ASPIRE courses introduce critical research skills to students and opportunities in exciting journal clubs, all to prepare them for opportunities to conduct cutting-edge research abroad through SPIRIT and sister programs.
